Speedy Increasing trade and consumer footfall

Speedy is the UK’s largest provider of tool and equipment hire with more than 200 depots across the UK and Ireland. With more than 300,000 items available for hire, Speedy offers the widest range of power tools, plant and specialist equipment.

In 2022, Speedy entered the B2C market via e-commerce and retail concessions inside 39 selected B&Q stores. WAA Chosen was appointed to create and deliver a high-profile brand marketing campaign to drive consumer and trade footfall into Speedy’s retail spaces, whilst also raising awareness of the brand’s new partnership with B&Q.

To strengthen and build on the ease of customers completing their own jobs, we created the ‘make every job easy with tool hire from Speedy’ headline which perfectly expressed the brand values.

This new brand proposition was supported by a multi-channel communications campaign across TV, CTV, OOH, Display, Mobile, YouTube and Digital Audio. To launch the campaign, we created Speedy’s first-ever TV advertising campaign using our skilled team of writers, directors and designers to visually communicate the new Speedy headline, captivate viewers and drive brand success.

With a 54% increase in orders placed at B&Q concessions, the brand also saw a 53% increase in the hire of campaign hero products.
