October – the clocks have gone back, it’s suddenly very cold, Scout (the agency pooch) turned 2, we’ve all eaten too many Halloween treats and The Great British Bake Off final divided the nation with its winner. But it’s also been another fantastic month for the agency with lots of landscape changing client work!
We kicked off October with our campaign for West Midlands Police going live. Our digital and creative teams worked with the police to create the UK’s first 360 burglary scene which is aimed at switching residents on to home security tips to beat burglars. You can check out the immersive virtual reality microsite here.
The Diageo Bar Academy team continue to globetrot as they carry on with their work on the European Acceleration Programme. Director of On Trade Experience Matt has visited Madrid, Brussels and Amsterdam over the past four weeks, and will continue with the programme for the rest of the year, and into 2019 too.
Social Media Designer, Dan has also gone global this month – creating the front cover of The New York Times Kids Edition (amazing work!) and Social Media Strategist, Liam stayed local (but still amazing) and gave an inspiring talk to Aston University students about careers in the sector.
Speaking of social media – the Content Team ran a highly successful Facebook live stream for client intu Derby with influencer and image consultant Cleo Lacey – the stream which lasted 40 minutes had over 2,000 people tune in.
Account Director, Jez took to the airwaves with client Proyre and influencer ‘Who’s The Mummy’ in a radio day for Tyre Safety Month – this formed part of a wider integrated campaign for the client, in which the social media video has clocked up over 200,000 views on Facebook alone.
For ‘Wellness Wednesday’ we headed to Sutton Park for a beautiful bike ride – fresh air, exercise and some fantastic views proved great for mind and body and was thoroughly enjoyed by the team. Whilst ‘Training Tuesday’ was hosted by Vanessa, Client Development Director, on the Power of the Post It! She shared her expertise and knowledge in using post it notes to make planning easy in an interactive session with our Client Services team.
Due to our successful campaign work and as a result of some new client wins we’ve welcomed two new starters to the agency this month – Shellyane joins us as our new Copywriter, and Hannah joins us as Account Executive! Hannah returns after a successful internship last summer and the completion of her degree.
Finally, we received some fantastic news regarding client Tarmac Blue Circle – they’ve been shortlisted for Best Big Budget Campaign and Best Distributor Marketing Campaign in the Construction Marketing Awards! Big congratulations to all those involved.
And that was October – make sure you’re following our social channels to see what we get up to in November.
