November already! The countdown to Christmas has officially begun, the John Lewis advert has been aired, Lidl & Aldi were quick with some witty responses, and poor @JohnLewis on Twitter has been inundated with messages once again, however he did get to star in an advert for Twitter, so it wasn’t all bad!
There’s been no slowing down for us this month, we’ve been working on some seriously cool client work.
We kicked off the month with a press and blogger event for client intu Derby to launch the new coolest place in town – their new pop up Ice Bar, Glacier. Our superstar designer Alessio also created the logo for the bar – nICE work. (Sorry not sorry for all those puns…)
Speaking of colder climates, Head of On Trade-Experience, Matt got on yet another plane, this time to Lithuania as part of the Diageo European Bar Academy programme we’re currently running – he mentioned it was pretty cold a few times (you’d think he’d be used to it being from Yorkshire!)
November also served up some exciting news for the agency. We’ve been commissioned by Britvic to activate their Robinsons Wimbledon sponsorship with trade and consumer campaigns. So, look out for some ace tennis themed activity in summer 2019.
The Cookes Furniture team were busy promoting the world’s most luxurious (and expensive!) bed they had in store for a limited time. The £75,000 bed’s appearance achieved local TV airtime and national coverage in The Mirror.
Our digital team launched the new EV website for VW Group – it’s a website to help dealer networks learn about electric vehicle technology so they have better conversations with customers moving forwards. It is full of interactive elements, quizzes and calculators which were cleverly designed and implemented by our designers and developers.
Liam and Sarah headed to London for Social Media Week where they heard from the likes of Facebook, Reddit, National Geographic and more who shared their predictions for social media marketing next year and innovative ways to connect with audiences in more personalised ways.
Plus, the social team also kick-started their work with new client, Beiersdorf. Launching their first Eucerin campaign to promote the new Anti-Pigment product, and in turn re-launching their Facebook presence for the first time since 2017.
And that’s not all! The Shell team have been working on some exciting plans for 2019, including expansions across Europe, China, India and the USA. The automotive team were out and about at automotive events including The VRA Seminar, MotorTrader Summit and AM Live with client Manheim, and Dom from the Geberit team headed to The OT Show to help launch their new AquaClean Care toilet.
Training Tuesdays saw Mosaic Marketing visit the agency to talk us through the A-Z of successful promotion. The IPA also visited the agency for a session on our member benefits, whilst Wellness Wednesday saw the agency visit Sandstone Studios for a Breathe Easy Yoga session.
Finally, we had a great night out at The IPA’s Beers, Bhajis and Banter event which was hosted at Baked in Brick and had guest speaker Patrick Collister. We’ll round off this round-up with a picture of the team enjoying the night.
What a month! Join us on social to see what we get up to in December, and January – trust me, you won’t want to miss out…
