Account Director – Automotive

What’s the opportunity?

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Senior Account Director with experience of managing and motivating an integrated agency team. Our client, leading in the automotive sector, is not new to our portfolio but we have just secured a substantial three-year contract – this is a unique opportunity for you to build relationships, shape the team and define ways of working from the start.

We are looking for someone who can balance delivery against client objectives and KPI’s creating measurable ROI and, of course, making them famous within their business, with a rigorous commercial approach to deliver agency profit targets.

You’ll be an expert at building, strengthening and maintaining relationships with the ability to become indispensable to the client.

Who might you be?

You must be able to operate successfully at a senior strategic level – you may be a current SAD or the second in command AD ready for the next step up in your career. Ideally, you will have worked on a large integrated automotive account.

You will be able to demonstrate your personal ability to drive substantial profitable growth in a previous or current role. It is essential that you are a problem solver who is confident of leading our team to find innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges.

You’re that person who is always thinking about ways to improve. Your flexible, adaptable, proactive approach and the ability to be resilient in a fast-paced environment is envied.

Our ideal candidate will want to be with us for the long-term. After the initial three-year contract there is an optional two-year extension – lead us into securing this extension and you’ll double your annual salary as a bonus.

You are passionate, ambitious, engaging and absolutely can-do, someone who brings the ‘agency factor’ and who our client will find inspiring and convincing.

As a senior team member you will be an ambassador of the agency’s core values and culture, ensuring that these are widely practiced and supported.

The role requires a full driving licence and reports to the Head of Client Service.


Starting Salary – Full-time >£50k per annum depending on experience.

Working Hours – Office hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm. However flexibility of work times will be required.

Holiday – 26 days per year, including 3 discretionary days at Christmas plus the 8 bank holidays.
