May – the month of the most talked about wedding of the year, and the month where the new Duchess of Sussex was named one of the most influential women in Britain on The Vogue 25 List. If you haven’t already then you can find out our top five marketing campaigns from the Royal Wedding, or read our copywriter’s novel take on the Royal Wedding. Our company social was also Royal Wedding themed, but I won’t go into details from that night here… (there was a free bar, that’s all I’ll say)
But enough about the wedding, what else have we been up to this month?
We kicked off the month with Mark & Dom from our Content Team heading to Coventry for an exciting press day in the run up to Coventry MotoFest, Dom was even lucky enough to have a ride in some extremely fast supercars. Whilst we’re on the topic of automotive, the team also met up with client Manheim at Car Dealer Magazine Expo in Manchester, we’ve recently launched a new white paper series for them – from concept, to copy, to artwork and design, to promotion through PR and social media.
The Content Team have also been busy this month with client Geberit – Sophie & Dom visited Installer Show to get some PR and social media content to use, and Emilie & Jo headed to London for Clerkenwell Design Week where they held a media event at the Geberit stand to launch a new white paper – Science Behind The Sensory Space.
Our Urban & Civic Houlton team have also had a great month, they helped to promote and organise a ‘Really Wild’ Bank Holiday activity for families in the local area, plus Kat & Zara also headed to the Pride of Rugby Awards where, Houlton eatery, The Tuning Fork won Hospitality Business of the Year.
Which brings me nicely on to another award win, our PR campaign ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ for client intu Derby won a Revo Purple Apple Marketing Award this month, a huge well done to all those involved.
HR organised some more fantastic #TrainingTuesdays sessions for us to enjoy this month including ‘How to become a super account handler’ hosted by Emily & Penny from our Client Services team and ‘Because You’re Worth It’ hosted by Kat & Becky – a cascade of what they learnt on their Aspire Trailblazing Women ‘Raising Your Profile & Visibility’ Workshop with Dr Sam Collins. Plus, we had our monthly #WellnessWednesday session where Strategy Director, Jacqui did a recap of the 6 main principles explored in Hal Elrod’s The Miracle Morning, and held an open discussion to see how we had all got on with the Miracle Morning Challenge throughout May.
Finally, our Strategy Team have been working hard on briefs from clients Shell & VW TPS, make sure you’re following our social channels so you don’t miss seeing what we get up to with them!
And that was May. Stay tuned to see what June brings…
