It seems fitting that June should also be known as National Smile Month, because thanks to a number of client achievements and exciting projects, our team have certainly been finding reasons to flash their pearly whites!
It’s also the month that brought us the long-awaited World Cup kick-off, and whilst our track record dating back to 1966 hasn’t given us English much hope, our agency dog Scout had a hunch that our 6-1 victory was imminent. Following in the steps of Paul the Octopus, we challenged Scout to predict the England vs Panama + Belgium match results, and as it turns out he’s something of a Mystic Mutt!
So that’s what Scout’s been doing, but what about us?
Thanks to the hard work of our PR Account Manager Mark, we took things up a gear at Coventry MotoFest at the start of the month, an event which attracted thousands of attendees and secured great coverage including a piece with Auto Car, and that’s not the only major coverage our Content Team have generated. Beth and Claire managed to secure a place on Chris Evans’s BBCR2 Breakfast Show on behalf of client Geberit UK, where neuroscientist Dr Jack Lewis was on air to talk about technology and its effects on the brain to form part of their new Sensory Space campaign.
In other news, our Creative Team and VR Whiz Kid, Ben have been working closely with West Midlands Police on an exciting new crime prevention campaign. Overseen by Art Director Ash, we spent time staging a home burglary and shooting 360 footage to poignantly demonstrate the visual impact of crime on the individual. Unfortunately for team member Eleanor, it was her house we used – sorry about the mess, El!
And that’s not the only opportunity we’ve been seizing to get behind the lens! Social Media Designer Dan paid a visit to client Cookes Furniture ahead of their big Summer Event to procure some great visual assets in order to create engaging video content across their platforms. We’ve also tied up the month in collaboration with Ark Media to produce the next series of video content for Diageo Bar Academy GB. These stylish guides and tutorials to cocktail preparation will aim to inspire creativity from bartenders across the nation. Tune in to their Instagram profile to catch the magic!
Over to Team Digital… last week these guys went live with the relaunch of Urban&Civic’s Houlton, Rugby website, applying updates that represent a new phase for the area and captures the transition from breaking the ground to its growth into a thriving, lived in community.
Speaking of community, Group Account Director Jeremy has been working closely with The Sutton Coldfield Community Games once again ahead of this year’s event on 7-8 July. Now in our fourth year of sponsorship, the WAA Chosen Foundation is supporting The Games and we’re lending our integrated marketing expertise to promote team sports and inspire activity throughout Birmingham, whilst showcasing over 70 + different kinds of sport.
Finally, we can’t go without congratulating our team on some great internal accomplishments. Firstly, to Account Manager Emily for receiving her IPM Diploma, having completed the course whilst working with us full-time! Secondly to our Office Apprentice Lydia, who upon completion of her apprenticeship will be joining our team as Junior Tour Manager for Diageo Bar Academy GB. Last but not least to Ben, who will be taking on a full-time IT Assistant’s position with us following his apprenticeship – well done guys!
And that was June. Make sure you’re following our social channels to see what we get up to in July…
