As we ‘March’ onto Spring (How quick is this year going?) we saw another fantastic spell for the agency, kicking off the month with the news that we placed in the top 50 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Small Businesses to work for 2019. This is an amazing achievement for the agency as there are 5.7m SMEs in the UK! This follows on the heels of the news that we achieved Investors in People Gold and the highest accreditation of three stars from Best Companies.
For our highly acclaimed #TrainingTuesdays (opportunity to ensure we equip the team with every weapon to be ‘Alive to Opportunity’) we dived in to the virtual reality world with an experience day like no other! Huge thanks to our digital gurus Johan & Ben for arranging for us all to try the stunning VR games & experiences.
Our commitment to health and wellbeing continues with the #WellnessWednesday programme.
Last month we welcomed representatives from Birmingham Mind in to the agency. He delivered an incredible Mind Over Matter session for us, which explored how we can protect our mental well-being and stay well through the pressures of work and life in general.
Following the success of the previous editions, our building and construction specialist ‘High-Vis’ hub team have been working on the new print edition of the Houlton newsletter which has now been delivered to the local community and surrounding areas.
Hi-Vis also launched our latest white paper for Geberit. ‘Make it Right’ highlights the issue, examines the causes of corrosion and offers six simple steps to prevent accelerated corrosion of carbon steel pipes. Free to download, the white paper is aimed at project engineers, mechanical engineers, heating engineers and facilities management and has already achieved coverage on Building Talk.
Our automotive expert ‘Open Road’ hub have also been ‘motoring’ on creating innovative content for their clients, delivering exciting and engaging tactical emails for Volkswagen TPS, including celebrating Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year and …Chip Week! The team also created a suite of integrated marketing material to launch TPS’ first ever tyre campaign. Initially piloting at the Wolverhampton Centre, the campaign will be rolled out nationally later in the year.
They also launched a free Clean Air Zones guide for LCV owners in the UK on behalf of Manheim. The new guide has been promoted via social media, using paid for advertising on Facebook and LinkedIn to reach a targeted audience. It has also achieved coverage in multiple magazines such as HPV Magazine and What Van?. A fantastic result for our client, and the team.
Our Social Media Strategist, Liam, has also been working with Manheim and delivered a social media workshop for some of their employees during February. The one-day workshop took Manheim staff through a social 101 and best practice guides, as well as including interactive social content writing tasks.
Speaking of social media, the leisure and retail ‘Stir’ team have been creating some new social videos for clients. We’ve created a series of short, 15 second videos for intu Derby to promote their dining and leisure offering. The first one went live during half-term and achieved over 22,000 views. The team also headed to London for a day filming at Diageo’s CCC for a series of new social videos for Diageo Bar Academy.
Our Head of On-Trade and Chief Commercial Officer were also in London this month for Pub19. They had a great few days at this exhibition listening to insightful sessions and talks giving them some fantastic understanding and vision into future trends which can be applied to our clients.
Finally, two of our technology specialists are heading back to SXSW in March, one of the world’s biggest digital and innovation exhibitions, hosted in Texas. Make sure you join our WhatsApp group to get live daily updates and insights from them whilst they are there.
